“With God are wisdom and might; he has counsel and understanding. If he tears down, none can rebuild; if he shuts a man in, none can open. If he withholds the waters, they dry up; if he sends them out, they overwhelm the land. With him are strength and sound wisdom; the deceived and the deceiver are his. He leads counselors away stripped,    andjudges he makes fools. He looses the bonds of kings and binds a waistcloth on their hips. He leads priests away stripped and overthrows the mighty. He deprives of speech those who are trusted and takes away the discernment of the elders. He pours contempt on princes and loosens the belt of the strong. He uncovers the deeps out of darkness and brings deep darkness to light.  -Job 12:13-22

We’ve all seen huge loads on the back of trucks going down the road, but I never cease to be amazed just how large they really are. For example, this is a motor. Just one motor, and it weighs 4.575 tons, it’s 11.5′ long, 5′ wide, and 9′ tall. I’ve seen bigger, but this one is still impressive.

Found myself in an alley in Sulphur LA this evening. All part of the job, but was still glad to get out of there!

 

After crossing the Sabine River, the Lone Star is always a welcome sight, night or day. And at this location, you’re only 880 miles from El Paso TX. That’s right. Drive 880 miles in a Westward direction, and you’re STILL in Texas. No other state has an 880 Mile Marker on their Interstate(s).
